I am a certified personal trainer through the National Strength and Professional Association(NSPA) and through the American Exercise on Council(ACE).  I am a big believer in whole body movements through primal patterns.  In your everyday life, no matter what profession you have, you constantly preform big movements; whether this is picking up your child, going up steps, squatting and bending to pick something off the ground, etc.  Every day humans move.  Moving efficiently for your body is key to living injury free.  Whether you are a top athlete, a 9-5'er, a stay at home mom, I can help you reach your fitness goals whatever they might be!

NeuroKinetic Therapy(NKT) is a bodywork system that was developed in 1985 by David Weinstock.  The system is based upon the fact that the motor control system learns from failure.  I am able to incorporate NKT as both an assessment tool and a rehabilitative tool to improve dysfunctional movement problems.   Through manual muscle testing, I am able to detect what muscles are strong(facilitated) and what muscles are weak(inhibited).  When a muscle test weak or inhibited, another muscle in the kinetic chain is essentially working too hard.  My goal through the NKT protocol is to find which muscle is picking up the slack for another muscle.  I am then able to test-release-retest to reprogram the motor control center.  For many, treatment results can be instantaneous relief.  NKT has been called the "missing link" by many practitioners across the world.  I truly believe in this philosophy and its capability of helping my clients get relief from nagging injuries that have caused pain and discomfort for weeks, months and even years.

The C.H.E.K. Institutes approach to functional exercise and optimal health  was developed by the founder, Paul Chek and is based on over 30 years of clinical practice working with clients from all walks of life.  Through this program, I have become a specialist in Corrective Exercise and High Performance Kinesiology.  I am trained in assessment techniques and individualized application of exercise and exercise programs.  As a Level II Practitioner I am able to effectively incorporate the following:

  • Perform a goniometric assessment of posture and relevant joint range of motion.
  • Provide an effective screening of each individual, ruling out any red flags through careful examination of medical history, orthopedic assessment, and length/tension assessment.
  • Implement specific corrective exercise for effective spinal and core  stabilization.

Hi, my name is Shannon Riley and I am the founder of Cre8 Change.  I established the business in 2014 with the idea of helping others on their path of healing and wellness.  As a former Division I athlete, I have been involved in the sports and fitness industry my entire life.  I often wonder how my knowledge today would have helped me back in my playing days.  Imagine if you had no pain; what would you be able to do that you can’t do right now? I can’t physically feel your pain, but I can help you find the root of your problem and work towards your goal.   There is no goal too small, nor no goal too big.  I know that when your body isn't in top shape that your entire outlook on life can be affected. I have a unique range of skill sets to facilitate you on your healing journey.
